Noamundi, Tata Steel hospital death trap for the locals.

Hospitals are supposed to be places where people run to when their lives are threatened by sickness, but certain hospital in the Noamundi, is serving a totally different purpose. Instead of caring for, and healing sick people, the Tata Steel, Noamundi hospital notorious for concentrating on finances and totally neglecting precious lives. That hospital is more of a death trap now than a life saving centre. The death rate at the hospital, especially in the past few months is very alarming, to say the least.. And the most worrying thing is the fact that people are currently dying in the hospital not out of incurable diseases, but out of negligence of the doctors at the hospital.

The worst scenario of all happened on Monday a class 9th  student of DAV School Noamundi, Uttara Sekhatkar, (15) admitted in the hospital  emphasizing for diarrhea symptoms, at the last stage after twelve days of treatment  the doctors referred to Tata Memorial Hospital, Jamshedpur on Monday where she was died at the Hospital.

The locals alleged that the low strength medicines purchased by the hospital administration, problematic to cures disease even biggest causality that immunization in the hospital not adequate to the infants.

The hospital is lacking capacity on all fronts - manpower, equipment and overall management of services,” The urgency for the health ministry to intervene now and prevent the conversion of the Tata Steel Hospital of Noamundi  from a lifesaving center to a killer spot cannot be overemphasized.  The authorities concerned must move now and halt this negative trend of the hospital.
